"I really learned that God can use me in any situation that he puts me in with His help. I prayed a lot about this mission trip that God would use me in ways that I didn't even know, and he did! He used me to speak in front of all the kids in two schools, which I was nervous but with His strength it was just fine!"

"The Bible studies with the local women have been meaningful. It has been so great to teach them and hear their questions. I have learned that I am not any different from these ladies that I study with and I think they challenge me with the Word just as much as I do them. It has been great to see the local men come and study and see their hunger to understand more. We have two men who come and study with us and the questions they have sometimes blow my mind and then to hear them explain something that I haven't thought about before encourages me."

"We were invited into one home in the slum we visited. I began chatting with the young girls. I shared my testimony with them, and they listened intently. I feel like I formed a great relationship with them. Then we went to another home that was very poor. The father kept remarking about how great it was that I would visit the poor. My response was that God doesn't see a difference between rich and poor, so why should I? Then he said that anyone who could relate to the poor was a god. And, I said that I did not want to be considered a god. I said that I am just a servant of Jesus Christ, who was also poor. We shared a story with them and they actually answered the questions we asked at the end.  It is amazing how God can change our outlook 180 degrees in just 20 minutes."
